Inian Islands

Here is another of my back lit images from thew Southeast Alaska trip. We were in search of Steller Sea Lions off the shore of the Inian islands. There are a number of small, rocky islands that the sea lions love to call home during the daylight hours.

The bachelor sea lions bask in the sun, if there is any, or they just push together to sleep if the sun is not present. There were hundreds of males on this very small island. This is just a sample.

As we sailed away from the Steller Sea Lions, we passed a few commercial fisherman plying the waters.
