Austin Food & Wine Festival

We had the opportunity to check out the first annual Austin Food & Wine Festival this past weekend. I took the G12 with me just to have something to play with in the event that I became bored. The boring part didn't happen.

Michelle Bernstein had a pretty good demo on flavorful adjustments to normal recipes. She is a highly regarded chef from the Miami area.

Jonathan Waxman, of Barbuto fame, showed some Obi-Wan Kenobi skill in fish preparation.

Andrew Zimmern, of Bizarre Foods, demoed some easy dishes and had some poignant remarks about food and the world. Check it out, below.

Gail Simmons was on hand representing Food & Wine magazine. They assured us that the festival would be back in Austin in 2013. Can't wait!
