Preview of Peru

We've been home for a week. I've been back to work for nearly a week. The 2200+ image files have been uploaded into Photoshop Lightroom and are in the process of being sorted. It will be a little more time until I'm ready to get the best uploaded with some commentary.

Our trip started with some logistics errors in the form of missed connections, but we managed to get to jungle at the headwaters of the Amazon on schedule. We spent 5 days with our guide in the wild, mainly without electricity.

We saw an abundance of animals and were especially fascinated by the parrots, and macaws.

We even got up at 4 AM to hike 2 1/2 hours to the pampa to see the sun rise.

We topped it all off with a 10 day trek to Machu Picchu via the Salkantay trail. There are lots more images to share and the stories to relate. There is much more to come.
