Texas Coast: I'm ready to revisit.

Some small amount of time has past since the storms battered the coast of Texas. I've been thinking about a trip to Port Aransas. It is a great place to get away in the winter. The number of tourists are low and the availability of rooms on short notice is good. The Tarpon Inn is my favorite place to stay; it's old and has quite a history.

The image above was taken a couple of years ago during a short mid week trip in June or July. It is the fishing pier just after dawn. I'm not partial to that time of day, but it often yields the opportunity for some memorable photos.
