Zhouzhuang

There is a "Water Township" about 50 km from Shanghai called Zhouzhuang. It is often called the Venice of China or the Venice of the East. Established in about 770BC, this famous water city is well worth a visit if you find yourself in Shanghai. You can take a bus, a tour, or hire a driver to take you there.

I took these photos with my Yashica T4 using Kodak Tri X black and white film. They were scanned and now reside in a Lightroom catalog on my computer. These 2 images were "hand colored" using Photoshop CS3.
