Matching Pixels to Output

So, what is this matching thing? Simply put, use the amount of pixels needed to satisfy the image you are delivering. For me it usually starts with the idea of the output size - 4x5, 16x20, etc. Once I know the size it is pretty easy. For the web I target 72 to 100 ppi for the size I expect it to be viewed on the screen. For an 8x10 print, I'll look for 360 ppi. For prints larger than 16x20, I go for 240 ppi.

I'm now off to search for the origins on Mac & Cheese. I think Kraft may be somewhere deep in the American history of this dish.
