Day #18 Queenstown
We left Te Anau for Queenstown the last leg of the Southern Scenic Route. It was a little less scenic when compared to the east coast portion.

We headed to the kiwi sanctuary in Queenstown before heading to Toby's B-day party.

We saw some NewZealand animals and then the kiwis. They are nocturnal so one may only observe them in darkness. It was a challenge, but we saw several. Toby's party was great fun. We met family and friends and had some good conversation which was not devoid of comments about the American political situation. Good folks!
