We had the morning in Christchurch to cram in a little more tourism. Actually we had until 12:50 to do tourism; this is when our driver was to arrive and transport us to the airport. We left our bags at the motel office and headed downtown or CBD (Central Business District) as the locals call it. We jumped on a tram which utilizes old trolly cars that make a figure eight loop through the CBD. They are old cars and the driver is a guide who
narrates through the entire ride. It is a hop on hop off tour experience. We jumped off the tram after we made a complete loop.

We headed to the art museum and wanted to see the "cardboard" cathedral. This is a transitional cathedral which will be used until the original cathedral is rebuilt. The design is by a Japanese architect. It utilizes cardboard structures in place of metal or masonry components. It is unique.

We made it to the airport in plenty of time. On our flight to Sydney, there were Swifties from New Zealand who were attending one of the Taylor Swift concerts on Saturday and Sunday in Sydney. Lots of bracelet exchanging. We made our way from the airport on the train system. It dropped us a couple of blocks from our place in the Darlinghurst neighborhood.
