Day #5 and #6 Rotorua
We spent the night in Rotorua and attended a Māori cultural exhibition and dinner at Te Pā Tū (actually on the evening of Day #5). It was a pretty good show with many insights into the Māori culture. Then we made a detour to Boyes Beach for Randeen to have a real swim. Then back to our room (with a small kitchenette). Pasta and a salad finished off the day (a touch of vino, too).
We had all of Day #6 on our own. Kairau Park in Rotorua was full of thermal pools bubbling to the surface of the park.

Then we headed to Kerosene Creek for a soak in a thermal stream and small waterfall. Due to a navigation error, we ended up trekking to via a 3.5 km mountain bike path instead of a 200 meter easy walk. Wow, did we get our steps in today. We had a soak in the hot, sulfur water.

Woolworths is a large food store chain in New Zealand. The Kiwis have a penchant for nicknames; this store is nearly always referred to as Woolies.
Tomorrow it will be a private tour of glow worm caves in Waitomo.
I wonder if they glow and glimmer?
